Exercise Accountability for Week Ending 6.19.16

This was my second week at the new job as a personal trainer.  Wednesday I worked in the morning so I could get a feel for how the other personal trainers do things and to see the difference in how busy the club is.  The great thing is that the woman I shadowed has been a personal trainer for over 20 years.  When we finished the shift she said “you did great!  You’re ready to train clients on your own”.  It was really nice to hear a personal trainer with that much experience give me a thumbs up!  That also tells me that I’m doing the right thing by offering online personal training services too!  This job is not stressful – which is great for my hypothyroidism!  That was one of the main reasons I left my job as an accountant – the stress was making my hypothyroidism worse.

Another cool thing that happened this week is that I spoke to my manager about adding PiYo Live to the class schedule at the health club.  She presented the info I gave her along with a video of some moves from PiYo to the owner so he can see what it’s all about and use the info to decide whether or not to add it to the schedule.  I should know something within a few weeks.  That would be so cool to be able to teach PiYo at the same location where I work as a personal trainer!

Last week I was experiencing some back pain and had to take a few days off, which was a bummer.  Thing started out great this week then the weekend came – and I ended up with a sinus headache and cramps so once again I had to listen to my body and give it a rest.  I typically only have one day where the pain keeps me sidelined, so Monday will be a new day!

Here are my workouts for the week:

  • Monday: Treadmill run and Strong and Sexy from Sexy Arms with Leisa Hart DVD – 20 minutes & 7 minutes (available in my store)
  • Tuesday: PiYo Live 39 – 20 minutes & 10 minutes
  • Wednesday: Treadmill run & Six Pack Abs from Blast off the Belly fat with Suzanne Bowen DVD – 20 minutes & 10 minutes (available in my store)
  • Thursday: PiYo Core – 30 minutes
  • Friday: Treadmill run & Arms from Pilates Perfect Body with Suzanne Bowen – 20 minutes and 10 minutes (available in my store)
  • Saturday: No Workout – I had a sinus headache all day
  • Sunday:  No Workout – my monthly visitor arrived along with cramps so I rested

You may remember me saying that even though I haven’t been posting much on the blog, I’ve been busy working.  Some of what I’ve been working on I don’t want to share yet because I’m afraid to count my chickens before they hatch.  Well, I’m glad I didn’t because nothing has come of it YET.  I need to put in a bit more work before this other thing that I’m doing can come to fruition, so I’m going to keep plugging away at it and share when the time is right.

Even though my job is part time, working outside the home has made it more challenging to find time to come up with content for two different sets of social media accounts.  There are also personal projects that need to be done that I’m stressing over as well (I mentioned those in last weeks’ post).  Stress is definitely not good for hypothyroidism, so I need to get things under control asap.  To help me do that, I’m going to take some time off from both so I can go visit my family and just relax for more than 24 hours.  If you’re following me on social media (Hypothyroid Fit and My Crazy Nontoxic Life), I’ll be sharing pictures and memories from our trip.  Check it out so we can stay in touch!
