Exercise Accountability for Week Ending 6.12.16

This was my first week at the new job as a personal trainer.  So far so good!  My colleagues are easy to get along with, it’s a really nice facility, and it’s only a 10-15 minute drive from our house.  I love that it’s part time position so that I can still run my blog, social media and help online clients.  If you’d like to be an online client, contact me to get started!  I’d love to be your personal trainer!

At some point this week I really slept wrong and my back has really been bothering me.  It got to the point where it was radiating around to the front of my body.  The pain forced me to take a few days off, which is a bummer.  Early in the week I tried to push through it but it got worse so I decided it would be best if I just give it a rest.  Hopefully this week I can get back on track.  As of today I’m experiencing much less pain so fingers crossed that I can make it through my workouts this week!  As a personal trainer I feel guilty if I don’t exercise regularly – how can I ask others to do it if I’m not?  Although, if a personal training client was injured, I would advise that they take time off, so I really shouldn’t feel guilty.

Here are my workouts for the week:

  • Monday: PiYo Live 37 – 60 minutes
  • Tuesday: PiY Live 39 – 60 minutes
  • Wednesday: PiYo Live Round 40 – 60 minutes
  • Thursday: Body Beast Lucky 7 – 24 minutes
  • Friday: No Workout – resting my back muscles
  • Saturday: No Workout – resting my back muscles
  • Sunday:  No Workout – resting my back muscles

Another cool thing from this week is that my husband and I celebrated our 10th wedding anniversary.  I can’t believe I’ve already been married to this awesome guy for a whole decade!  The actual anniversary was on the 9th, but we celebrated on Saturday.  We first met at a Chuy’s in Austin so we went to the one in Nashville to celebrate our anniversary.  After that we went to see a production of the Little Mermaid put on by a community theatre company there in Nashville.  It was really nice to get out of the house and do something fun.  It’s been awhile since I’ve done anything other than work.  Even though I haven’t been posting much on the blog, I’ve been busy working.  Some of what I’ve been working on I don’t want to share yet because I’m afraid to count my chickens before they hatch.  Other than that it’s been tricky to come up with content for two different sets of social media accounts (Hypothyroid Fit and My Crazy Nontoxic Life).  And of course that doesn’t include all of the personal projects that need to be done such as organizing the garage, paring down my wardrobe, re-evaluating our personal budget, and planning a trip to visit family soon.  Hopefully I’m going to have things under control soon!

Happy Monday, and I hope you have a great week!  As always, thanks for reading!
