This was week 8 of my second round of Body Beast. Block 2 is complete and now I start on Block 3 which lasts for 4 weeks. Have I mentioned that I love this workout? This past week on Monday I worked on the show Nashville again, and I had to get up really early in order to be there by 9am, so I skipped my work out and did it on Tuesday. This week was the last time I could work on the show until Spamalot is over, because we have daily rehearsals from 5:30 to 10 pm. It’s a shame because they don’t always need the extras all day, and often times we finish in plenty of time for me to drive to rehearsals. However, the casting company doesn’t always know ahead of time when we will be needed, so whenever you submit to be an extra, you have to be available all day. It’s a bummer, but I understand that they can’t always predict schedules. Such is the life of an actor!
Speaking of that, I have realized over the last month or so that I’m spending much more time acting and less time on my fitness business. The reason for that I believe is that while I am passionate about health and fitness and helping others get fit, I’m feeling more passion towards acting. As a result, I’ve decided to explore that side and see what happens. Not to worry, I’m still here for you if you need help getting fit or switching to nontoxic products! I would be remiss if I didn’t allow myself to pursue this passion and see where it goes.
All that said, here are my workouts for the week:
- Monday: No workout today – had to arrive on set of Nashville early & got home pretty late
- Tuesday: Body Beast Bulk Chest and Legs – 30 minutes & 41 minutes
- Wednesday: Body Beast Bulk Arms – 35 minutes
- Thursday: Beast Cardio & Abs – 30 minutes & 10 minutes
- Friday: Body Beast Bulk Back – 29 minutes
- Saturday: Rest Day – long day working at the theatre
- Sunday: Body Beast Bulk Shoulders – 30 minutes
Technically Sunday is my rest day from Body Beast, but I took it Saturday since we were at the theatre working on sets all day. As of yesterday, we’re rehearsing daily from 5:30-10, so while I may get a day off from Body Beast, I’ll be getting an additional workout at rehearsals because I’m in quite a few dance numbers. This week I’m missing one day of rehearsals to take a jazz class where I’ll learn the moves to the Cell Block Tango from the musical Chicago. It’s being taught at a repertory theatre that is about to begin a one month run of the show. Their opening night is the same as ours is for Spamalot, but I plan to attend the play once we finish our performances. I’m beyond excited!!
