This was week 3 of my second round of Body Beast. Last week on Sunday we took an extra rest day due to me having a migraine & my husband having a sore back. So I started out the week one day behind. Well, this week I didn’t fare much better. I’ve been a bit stressed out lately, so I really needed some time to decompress this weekend. Friday evening we went to see the Vagina Monologues at our local regional theatre. Saturday we slept in, took our dogs on a hike, went out to eat dinner, then watched some comedy shows. Sunday we slept in again, had some gluten free pancakes, and did meal prep for the upcoming week. Another thing that really helped me was wearing a diffuser necklace with some stress away essential oil that was part of my starter kit .
Why am I stressed? Finding balance while running your own business from home is not easy! Creating helpful content while also juggling helping people get fit, finding time to get my own exercise, cleaning house, and running errands is a bit overwhelming at times. Coming up with, creating, and scheduling helpful content is a full time job in itself, especially for me because I’m not very tech savvy. Tasks that are related to technology take me a long time to finish for that reason. Since I’m just starting out, I’m not making enough money yet to pay someone to help me, so I do all these things by myself. That means I work pretty much all day every day without taking many breaks. Even though it’s stressful sometimes, I love what I do, so I wouldn’t have it any other way!
Well, now that that’s out of the way, here are my workouts for the week:
- Monday: Body Beast Build Legs – 38 minutes
- Tuesday: Body Beast Build Back/Bis – 50 minutes
- Wednesday: Body Beast Cardio & Abs – 38 minutes & 10 minutes
- Thursday: Body Beast Build Shoulders – 38 minutes
- Friday: Body Beast Build Chest & Tris – 48 minutes
- Saturday: Nature hike with my husband and our dogs
- Sunday: Took an unscheduled rest day – my body just needed a break and I decided to listen
We start this week two days behind schedule, which is not good because this starts block 2 or the “bulk” phase. What I’d like to do is double up on workouts on two different days this week to get caught up. I love that Block 2 rest days are always on Sundays, so I really want to get on this schedule for the next 5 weeks. It really throws me off when a rest day falls on a weekday.
Do you have a set day of the week that you schedule as a rest day? I’d love to hear your perspective!
As always, thanks for reading!
